Work package 6 QUALITY ASSURANCE

Quality Assurance of The Virtual Campus for Social work in Europe

Description of workpackage 6:

This WP aims to secure all the project work according to higher education and professional standards. In order to fulfil this objective an ongoing process evaluation will take place. As a result of this process new knowledge about international e-learning and e-teaching coming from the Virtual Campus partners will be used to improve the quality of the study program.

Deliverable 6.1 Quality Guide

The Quality Guide is a set of written instructions & recommendations that help all the participants in the project to apply relevant national and international quality management rules and regulation in Social Work Higher Education. These instructions and recommendation refer to:
-Contents of the curriculum
-Technological tools and their application
- Administrative and managerial aspects
The guide will contain a comprehensive set of quality indicators as well. It will be compiled in an e-report to be published on the project website. It will be completed before the pilot course in community work and community development starts.
Deliverable 6.2 Internal Evaluation Reports Series (IERS)

Standardized evaluation forms will be developed which make it possible to report the same sort of data throughout the project and beyond the project period. IERS is a serial report that summarizes and analyzes evaluations from students, teachers, and the rest of participants in the Virtual Campus and monitors the WPL. It includes all the quality indicators compiled on the Quality Guide of the project. The forms will be used for the different work packages, as far as relevant, used in the different stages of the project and be included in the reports.

Deliverable 6.3 Programme evaluation of the pilot
Evaluation of the educational e-learning programme will be made by inviting an external programme evaluator who will follow the process from the development of the new curriculum plan through the running of the pilot course. This is to secure the quality.

UCM will lead and be responsible for organising and coordinating the work,  and will be especially working with the development of the 6.1 and 6.2

HiB will organize and coordinate the intake of students to the pilot (see 2.2 as well), give specific regulations to the internal and external evaluator (6.3). Will contribute to the work with the 6.1 and 6.2

University of Swansea will participate in developing the internal evaluation report series

All partners will contribute with information to the evaluation report
