B.A. Social Work students can select VirCamp as flex courses in accordance with the module handbook, usually, they are also offered in other modules as pointed out during course selection. Other students who are interested in joining should get in touch with the respective study leader and the departmental international coordinator Kati Schröder.

Founded in 1499, UCM is the biggest University in Spain and one of the biggest in Europe, with more than 70.000 students, distributed in 26 Faculties covering all disciplines and areas (Humanities, Sciences, Health, Social, Arts…). Many important scientists and intellectuals have studied in UCM, among which 7 Nobel prizes.
The Faculty of Social Work at UCM is one of the very few in Europe awarding specific degrees in Social work at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral (PhD) level.
Vircamp international e-Courses are fully integrated in the SW BA study plan as Optional courses.

The ECTS credits earned during the vircamp courses are recognized in the degree programs Social Work and Early Childhood (BA) and Management and Professional Pedagogy in Health Care (BA) as compulsory elective credits.

The Lucerne University of Applied Sciences – School of Social Work integrated the four modules of VirCampus into the regular curriculum. Students interested in enrolling in one of the courses are requested to reach out to VirCampus coordinator Johannes Küng.

Integration of the e-learning courses in the BA: SW-VirCamp online courses are optional courses for our BA students. Students get credit for the resulting ECTS; M1 (5 ECTS) for our BA module K5 (Social Problems in State and Society), M2 (10 ECTS) for our BA modules T5 (Theoretical Fundamentals of Social Work) & T7 (Profiling Professional Competences), and M3 (15 ECTS) for our BA modules T5/6 (Study & Research Workshop) & T6b (Methodical Skills).

Integration of the e-learning courses in BA/MA: M1 is part of our curriculum in the 2nd BA programme. M2 and M3 are part of the curriculum in the 3rd BA. All these modules are optional. At this moment, students have to choose between module 2 or 3 in the 3rd BA. Incoming students can choose for one or more modules to complete their study program.

The e-learning courses have developed the digital competences among teachers and students. Integration of the e-learning courses in BA/MA: M1, M2 and M3 are offered as optional courses in the 2nd year social work BA programme (only 15 ECTS credits acknowledged). M3 a compulsory course for the MA in Community Work in 2011 (English MA program).

Integration of the e-learning courses in the BA/MA: All the 3 VirCamp-Modules (30 ECTS in total) can be fully integrated into the BA Social Work curriculum as optional courses. For example, second-year-students have to take a compulsory project-based course and a compulsory supplementary method course. Third-year-students have to take a departmental elective course, a compulsory course in community work, and a compulsory course in international social work.
