The 2024 annual meeting took place at the Universidad de Complutense in Madrid. This year’s guiding topic was SHAPING THE FUTURE: BUILDING BETTER LEARNING TOGETHER. In order to make the course Community Work from an international perspective more accessible and easier to incorporate within the partner universities’ programmes, the course was divided into three 5 ECTS courses. While the full course can still be taken as a single entity with the three courses running consecutively from January to June, students now also have the option to select one course of their choice. The new courses, which will start in the academic year 2024/25, are titled: Analysing Communities – Theories and practices from an International Perspective, Methods in Community Work from an International Perspective Course and Facilitating Communities in addressing local and global challenges, with a special focus on climate change. As usual, the VirCamp lecturers, steering committee and consortium management group greatly appreciated the international exchange and the warm hospitality provided by the Spanish leading institution.
